Commissions: Doctor Strange and Doctor Doom
on February 17th, 2009
I don’t normally get asked to draw things like Doctor Strange and Doctor Doom fighting one another. This was kind of fun, and sort of reminds me of the work Marie Severin used to do.
All I really have time for these days is reposting old blog stories and showing you these sketches. The work load is heavy this year. That’s a good thing.
More importantly, an extra hour in the day really needs to be spent getting some exercise. As soon as I am out of bed and over this bug, that is.

I’m glad you have plenty of work. Hope you feel better soon.
Thanks, Thomax. I feel a bit better today so I am in the office to work for a few hours, but I will go right back to bed if I need to. One of the advantages of freelancing! I can always take a lap board, go to my room, prop up the pillows, and keep drawing.
Though I am sleeping most of the time…
Exercise. That’s what I said yesterday, and then discovered I had just enough energy to move about the apartment. Still dragged out today. I hate this. I always want to be moving and doing before my body is ready to.
Hope YOU feel better quickly!! (I’m a terrible patient.)
Ho ho. Yesterday I was laying in bed watching infomercials about exercise equipment, and I was so doped up I felt compelled to buy some (didn’t do it). This morning I got up and had trouble walking down the stairs, so my impulse to buy exercise equipment evaporated.
I’m sure we’ll both feel better tomorrow!

Which means “all” we get to see is more gorgeous artwork and the most informative posts from the old blog? The downside of that being… what, exactly?

I’m so happy to hear that! You should be in high demand.
Oh, and I wish you and Scribbler a speedy recovery.
Great stuff. There was a Doctor Strange/Doctor Doom graphic novel about twenty years ago, with art by Mike Mignola. I like your take better — I’d buy a book. Mr Quesada, are you listening?
I’ve always wanted to give a Doc Strange story a go.
