The Bayeux Tapestry is a 70 meter (230 foot) long “embroidered cloth” (not a true tapestry) which depicts the 1066 Norman invasion of England. This early example of narrative art, which Bryan Talbot has referred to as “the first British comic strip”, has been animated here.
