And speaking of scary things, our little bat neighbors have taken up residence in the attic.
I didn’t want to disturb them, so best I can do with the snaps.
No running the attic fan while they are in residence, so it gets mighty hot up there.
Fruit bats are so cute. Sometimes they get in the house. There is much hilarity as we run about to catch them with a butterfly net.
Bats eat the grapes off the vines, but it is a small sacrifice to our little buddies who also help us out by eating the mosquitoes.

A lot of people would not think of the trade off: mosquito predators versus scritchy noises in the attic. They’d just be “bugged” by the noises.
LOL! I love the little squeaky noises they make. They sound like toys. Except when you are trying to catch them! They sound quite eerie when they scream!
Bat screams. Hmmm. Now there’s something that’s been made little use of regarding Batman. I’ll have to think about it!
Heh. Inspiration comes in odd places! Hee.
