David Coverdale...yeah, I loved the hair bands. I've been known to sneak a peek at the 1980's videos on VH1, though I wish someone would do a video compilation of the best of the best so I could enjoy at my leisure. I used to sit down during those Top 100 video marathons diligently recording my faves, and re-watched them until the tapes had a meltdown. I realize some of the music was silly, and some of the videos were sillier, but if you can't have some silly fun when you're young and wearing a black leather mini, I don't know what being young is for. My 1987-1991 sketchbooks are full unto bursting with drawings of hot men, with huge… hair. I'm not ashamed to admit I thought David Coverdale was teh hotness, and Headbangers Ball was the highlight of my week.
