A little water damaged, but here’s Merritt Butrick and me from the 1980′s. Merritt played David Marcus, son of Captain Kirk in the Star Trek films. Merritt was a heck of a nifty guy. He died of AIDS in 1989.

Joe Sacco and Bryan Talbot in front of some sort of big engine thingy in some sort of big museum where I spent a lot of time taking reference photos. I occasionally took photos of people so I wouldn’t seem too unfriendly, and look who wandered into the shot! Famous cartoonists!
Bill Sienkiewicz was my favorite cartoonist because he used to go to conventions with his shirt open to his navel.
