Astronaut Buzz Aldrin raps with Snoop Dogg

Wednesday, June 24th, 2009

Here’s the story at USA Today.

“Buzz has got the biggest buzz on the streets right now,” Snoop Dogg says. “He’s got Talib Kweli and (me) in the studio with him, and I only work with the best.”

On a more serious note, the rapper says he signed on “because (Aldrin) pushes kids to achieve their dreams.”

Fo shizzle.

So, here’s The Making of Vid:

And here’s the Full Version of the tune.

Every time he points to himself and sings “I am the space man!” I giggle like a tween.

I’m going to go put on my Buzz Aldrin Still Kicks Ass t-shirt.

Delia Sherman’s The Tragedy of King Alexander the Stag Online Free!!!

Publishing authors I admire is as good a way as any to get a chance to work with them. I was making good money on A Distant Soil some years back, so why not share the love?

One of my favorite authors is Delia Sherman, whose new website features “The Tragedy of King Alexander the Stag”, a story originally published in A Distant Soil. The text is available for free at this link, and several of my illustrations are included. It’s a gorgeous tale, and I hope you will take the time to read it. The site design is easy on the eyes, too.

Here’s one illo from the story that isn’t at Delia’s new website.

Alas, the original scans were lost, but we’ve done our best to restore what we could here.

Check out these literate and romantic modern fantasy works by Delia Sherman.

And below the fold, info about an upcoming signing and reading with Ellen Kushner and Delia Sherman:
