Record breaking cold and snow here on the little mountain.

The stream, buried under 30 inches of fluffy white stuff.

My gardens and greenhouse. I meant to get out yesterday to pick parsley and celery. Too late now.

The barn and hothouse are past the little stream here. This exhausting walk through hip-deep snow took 20 minutes.

Wholesome decor.

The latest in winter couture.

More pics later.

The pictures of the snow are gorgeous! So beautifully “White Christmas”. But I’m glad I don’t have to DO anything in it. Looking at all that snow caked on your boots and legs … ooo, boy! Yeah, left that behind in Michigan an age ago. (Though your boots do look very effective and sturdy.)
I’ll be thinking of you from Az. Its nice here and there is no snow.
I logged into my photo album for my cell phone to discover someone put porn in a photo album of mine for my cell phone so I think I’m being punished for loving the weather here. (tongue and cheek humor inserted here)
Actually I’m thinking the guy that owned the number before me took the naughty pictures, but my brain is forever scarred. Who knew Garfield would do that to Odie? Or…nevermind it was just bad…
@scribbler: They are snaker gaters, fitted with steel plates to repel bites. Best boots I ever had.
@ Marina: I feel your pain. I bought a used computer from someone years ago. He did not entirely wipe his hard drive.
I talked to my cell phone company. They’re tracking down the problem now. The best guess is either the website had a glitch or someone is sending pics to my phone thinking its someone else (or my number and someone elses is off by a didget). We got a really good chuckle out of that after all was said and done but I’m really glad I checked. You just never know these days.
Colleen, I keep coming back to look at these picture — especially the one of the greenhouse. Do you go out to it and knock the snow off the roof? I keep thinking the weight of that snow can’t be good for the structure.
It’s so mild here in SoCal, I have to worry about *something*!
LOL!
I could not make it to the greenhouse. I was so exhausted just trying to get tot he hothouse, I had no more energy.
I knocked the snow off the hothouse already, and it is supposed o be clear tomorrow, so I hope to knock the snow off the greenhouse.
It is absolutely exhausting walking in hip-deep snow.
We cannot get out. There is no way to drive up our driveway yet!
soooo many memories… *childhood daydreamed memories*
*shakes sense into head*
No… I’d rather not do the snow thing…
