And then there’s Merai. He made me think too. What would it be like to be a plain-spoken blurt-it-out seer in a culture like this? The way Ovanan are, they expect everything to be Cirque Du Soleil day and night, make a big production out of it. If Merai or anyone like him predicted Ragnarok they’d criticize his blank verse. Cassandra only had to deal with no one believing her, she didn’t have to worry about whether anyone would boo her off the public stage for dressing badly.

Niniri is soooo evil by not taking that child from Sere. Protecting her precious Avatar by sacrificing that child is just wrong, even from Ovanan standards.
