David Tennant in Lord of the Rings?

I have to post this right away. I cannot contain myself.
David Tennant? Could it be? Fabulous rumor here.
Much better than the Tobey Maquire rumors from earlier in the week. I like him as Spider-Man, don’t think he’d make a good Bilbo. Tennant, however, would be cool.
It’ll probably never happen, but what do you think of Tennant as Thranduil?
I still think James McEvoy would have made a great Bilbo.
One of the things I distinctly remember from reading the books is that Bilbo and Frodo are supposed to resemble one another.
I take it that you deleted all the stuff i put in earlier about british television?
I can see Tennant as Thranduil. Just slap a crown of leaves on his head, and he’s set!
And a blonde wig. Mustn’t forget the blonde wig.
