And here’s a look at another pile of nifty things.

This includes a signed hardcover with dustjacket and slipcase Image Comics anniversary book SIGNED by Erik Larsen, Jim Lee, Jim Valentino and Todd McFarlane. This is an A/P (Artist Proof).
A signed and inscribed copy of Queen of the Damned, mint condition hard cover with dust jacket, by Anne Rice.

Sideshow WETA helm of Eowyn. Sealed and MINT.
An Applause Lord of the Rings One Ring with collectible light up round case and chain.
A sealed and MINT Games Workshop Sauron figure.
A Rowena Morrill trading card set with a very nice copy of the notebook. It’s hard to get copies of Rowena’s work, so this is a nice find for a fan.
A SIGNED hardcover Al Severin/HG Wells bande desinee La Machine A Explorer Le Temps, with ORIGINAL FULL COLOR ARTIST SKETCH inside, articles in French enclosed with book, family photos enclosed with book, AND a copy of BILL COSMOS tabloid comic enclosed and signed inside. Extremely rare item valued at approximately $200.
Very fun comic collection Great Comic Cats circa 1981.
Movie collectible book Jimmy Durante The Candidate, a photographic interview, circa 1952. Nifty Hollywood memorabilia.
I honestly have no clue how I ended up with some of this cool stuff, but I know I bought a ton of collectibles from an old acquaintance who was having money problems. I am pretty sure that other stuff came from the collection of Frank Kelly Freas, which he gave to me about 25 years ago when he shut down his Virginia studio.
Don’t be shy about asking for specifics. The “prize” items are going to be doled out on a more or less random basis, but if you like particular things, and they are not on my “prize” list, then I have no problem putting them aside for you.
If you are into goth goodness, sing out. I have a large selection of gargoyle frames I purchased to use at RenFaires, which I have not done in years. If you would like some of these frames, I’d be happy to put that on your list.
Thank you SO MUCH for your support. The donations have been GREAT and I am deliriously happy to be in the black on the website and moving along with financing for the book itself.
PS: I feel I should point out that this donation incentive is not a sign that I am starving to death. I simply have way too much stuff, and think this is a good way to raise money to finance the end run of my series, since the book earns modest income. I am not in a position to take commissions. Taking commissions would just eat up more time I need to work on my books.
So, thanks for the concern. I really appreciate it! But I am sincere when I say I just need to move this stuff out of here. Some of this stuff has been sealed in boxes in a barn for years, and what good is that to anybody? I literally have enough collectibles and goodies to finance a heck of a lot of A Distant Soil pages, and moving it on to you guys in this way is the best use of my resources.
THANKS! I have been very touched by some of your letters. I know a lot of fans wouldn’t part with their treasures for anything, but I am happy to move them along.
I’m keeping PUHLENTY, believe me.
