Aw, man. D’mer’s so sweet and protective here–and yet it’s striking that he doesn’t think of anyone in the Hierarchy or even Bast as the ones to hurt Seren, but Liana! I’m not sure why. But it’s fun to see.
The selwits are so cute! Humans may betray you, but you can always count on your furry friends.
Now that I’m thinking of it (sorry for the second post – slap slap, bad girl!) poor D’mer is about to get a bucket of ice-water dumped on his cheery mood. Give him a few minutes, though, and he’ll be wanting to hug Kovar for saving him. He’ll have to wait in line behind the female readers.
@ Gemina: Because Rieken genuinely loves Liana, and if she is cross with him, then that would really hurt.
And because D’mer is a bit of a snot and likes to pick on Liana.
Rieken’s a sweetheart. D’mer too, but I suspect you have to insert a shunt and pour the glucose in first.
BWAHAHAHA!! OK, that is HILARIOUS!!!
I see that Seren isn’t much different than other “teens” in his undressing habits. Leave the clothes where they drop.
Of course, he is upset, but still……
For lo, it is written that the Avatar doth not doeth his own laundry.
