Harlan Ellison’s first typewriter is up for sale.
Harlan will scroll a final piece of paper into the machine, type a final half page of something for posterity, and leave it there just so. The buyer may request to have the typewriter shipped, or arrangements can be made to pick it up.
I can’t imagine a world without Harlan. Fortunately, he’s on dvd where he can kvetch forever.
I truly love this man.

Check out the new Art Shop. Purchase art directly via the donation button. TWO pages from the unpublished tenth issue of A Distant Soil version 0 are in the shop!
The Facebook fan page is here.
Didn’t even know this was out, until I got a modest royalty check today. Here’s the hardcover edition of the Spider-Man: Died in Your Arms Tonight graphic novel, which includes Amazing Spider-Man 600, featuring a lovely story written by Mark Waid, which I was fortunate enough to illustrate. I hope you like it!

I did a 180 on my decision to stop the donation incentives when I realized I had plenty of packing material and organized files. So, I do have time for them after all.
As usual, select interior pages of ADS are available at $100 each. Splash pages and covers can be bought separately. The Art Shop is now available in the menu.
I also have a number of pages from an early, abandoned edition of the series I am sure most people never saw. Most of these pages were reproduced from pencil art like this:
This is one of the nicer pages, which I have reserved for Justin Kim. Obviously, it’s just not possible to do a regular comic series fully rendered like this, which is why no one does this kind of work anymore. I got $50 a page, and it took about 2 days to draw each one.
Most pages from this version are not as well rendered as this, and are quite awkwardly drawn. But if you are interested in this comics historical curiosity, please let me know. I will find a good page from this abandoned version for you. Later pages, drawn in pen and ink, are also available.
I have graphic novels available at cover price, including a limited number of hardcovers. I’m happy to personalize them with a sketch.

Thank you SO MUCH to Marina Lemar for you very kind donation! It really helps!
Some of the donations lately have been extra-generous. Even though I wasn’t going to run a donation incentive right now, I will make sure anyone who donates over $50 gets something nice from me: autographed books or original art. I’m truly grateful!
Yeah, I know I said I wouldn’t do these for awhile, but some of these donations are very nice and people deserve something for that. I do appreciate it. You guys paid for the costs of the site hack our hosting, and this nice redesign!
