I believe Seren’s singing is similar to the castrati of old. I heard a recording of one of them and it is haunting and almost angelic sounding.
Hah! I knew Galahad wouldn’t be bothered by the idea of poisoned translators. Poison probably doesn’t effect him and if it did it would probably be better than letting Emeris have him. Jason, though, I’m starting to like the idea of something unseemly happening to him. Like his nerve centers get fried so he loses his powers, then Emeris gets him.
Finally figured out who Jason reminds me of: Edmund Pevensie. Man I hated that kid in the first book.
@ Mamid: Really? The only known recording is nearly 100 years old. It’s not very good. He was way past his prime when he recorded this.
