Sign me up for Teramis! I like men to look like men; it cuts down on the confusion. It took a long time for me to totally get that Seren is male enough to warrant a masculine pronoun. Really, Bast acts like she has more testosterone (and estrogen too, now that I think of it, she just has more of everything).
Yup, I’m back(ish). I had to move back to the US to take care of my mom after she had major hip-replacement surgery. Since moving back and forth is excepssively expensive, I’m here for a long time.
About dropping the soap.. it’s more dangerous in a macho enviroment – lika a prison – than in a gay enviroment, so even though I get the context of the comment, it’s not exactly making any sense.
When do comments made by meathead homophobes make sense?
Also, the irony of Bret not really fancying “girly-men” but instead wanting to rest his eyes on real, manly men doesn’t escape me.
It seems that only the male Ovanan aspire to be androgynous. And then, well, there’s nothing androgynous about that blond, tanned sadist.
Brent watches a lot of South Park.
*snix* So what year does this take place in, now?
We could pretend that people today aren’t homophobic and don’t say stupid things even when they otherwise seem to be decent folk. So it doesn’t bother me, really.
OK, how about “In Living Color”?
You could have them return to Earth to find out it’s 2011. *joke*
Time Warp. Then this would be the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
BTW, Howdy Zowie! Sorry about your mom! Hope she’s OK!
