Y’know, I still think Jason is being a douche, but I do feel bad for him. Where Liana has a group of people supporting her and encouraging her, Jason’s had nothing but abuse and manipulation. And becasue of this, it’s going to take a lot for him to feel like he can trust Liana. Worse yet, he’s going to have to work his butt off for Liana to trust him.
I really love Jason and also feel badly for him. What can I say, my characters are flawed people.
i just had a thought…did anyone ever thought of breaking the brainwashing Jason went through?
When you step back and consider the last two days Jason has gone through, he’s been on quite the emotional roller-coaster. He hasn’t handled it particularly well, so he’s not getting much sympathy from those around him, it’s true. But he’s had his brain and emotions yanked this way and that very fast and has had not time to process anything. And most of what has come at him has been the complete opposite of his comfort zone, starting with the fact that his adoring, sweet little sister who totally relied on him is now not dependant or compliant.
Poor Jason.
I feel sorry for Jason but you know, I so want to see Liana kick Beys’s ass… if they ever meet…
I’m out of sorts with my own particular teenager at the moment so yayed first when Liana kicked Jason and felt sorry for him after.
Actually he’s having a very rough time, poor kid, but he’s being a bit awful.
I can’t pick on Beys. I doubt many of them have had any interaction with young people. They were sitting there marveling over how much he looks like his father. It probably never crossed their minds that they were doing harm. Certainly, since as far as they know the Avatar is just another power-hungry sadistic master, they could not have anticipated anything being wrong with programming Jason to kill him.
I think that’s a very fair way of looking at it.
