And here, all I was thinking was that the art on this grim and gritty page was a perfect compliment to the story.

I still miss all that gorgeous hair, but I have to say the texture of the short stuff looks absolutely perfect with lighting and gritty feel of the page.

*grin* This was my very first look at ADS a decade ago. I attended the first Yaoi-con and this issue was a giveaway. Do you remember, Colleen–did you just put copies of this issue in everyone’s goodie bags?

I had no idea what the hell was going on, but opening the cover, this breathtaking page blew me away, and the quality of the dialogue, the way the characters pulled me in even though I didn’t know who did what when, made me want more right away. 10 years later, I’m still hooked. I still remember this page in particular; this and the later conversation between Seren and Niniri left a huge impression.
