Crash Course for Artists, Illustrators and Cartoonists

The fundamentals of representational art is the focus of this intensive course. Subjects will include: perspective and how to create believable form and space; the structure, proportion and anatomy of the human figure and head; drapery and the clothed figure; the principles of light and value; color theory and its practical application; abstract composition and narrative storytelling. Each session will include a lecture and an in-class exercise, and there will be weekly home assignments. Resources for further study will be provided for each subject. Students from all levels are welcome.
