Wonder Woman
on June 10th, 2011I haven’t drawn the Wonder Woman comic in years, but really loved the series, especially the George Perez run in the 1980′s. I’m always grateful to get a commission such as this one from Justin Kim.
I owe Justin a big apology: this should have gone out ages ago, especially since it’s been finished for ages. I can be really spacey sometimes.
Many other items went out two weeks ago, but others had to wait while I replenished the coffers of Visa. Really didn’t count on that fat $1,000 shipping bill. Ow. I love all the orders, but the foreign orders cost roughly four times what it costs to ship domestic, and we got a lot of ‘em lately!
All who had to wait get a nice Mangaman promo postcard to go along with their order.

Nice! Classic WW!
TGNL
(thank god, no latex)
This is terrific!
Question: creatively, if DC said they would essentially give you Wonder Woman for 5 years as a regular series and you didn’t have to tie into any continuity, would you take it? I know that business-wise, it might not be the best thing.
I don’t think I could commit to a five year monthly. I’d go batty.
I was offered the writing gig a LOOOooooong time ago and turned it down.
I wouldn’t mind working on it for a year. But I would have to have a lot of say over the art. I am not well-served by most inkers, and would prefer to do the inking myself, and hire an assistant. I’d probably hire Bob Wiacek for that.
Would love another crack at the Legion of Superheroes. Just looking at the new series. Think I could make a nice splash on that.
Colleen on Legion! Be still my foolish heart!
I liked Terry Austin inking you on that Valor cover and Mike DeCarlo on the the Baxter Legion 27. I also liked the art in the Wonder Woman GN. Did you ink some of that yourself?
