San Diego Comic-Con: Not going, sorry!
on July 7th, 2011Alas, we’ve got another scheduling snafu, as San Diego Comic Con has me listed for the Thursday Vertigo panel, which was to feature Gone to Amerikay.
Not sure what happened, but I had no plans to go to San Diego this year. I’m staying home and digging in deep while I try to finish off the book, which is closer, ever closer to completion by the day.
I’m very sorry for any inconvenience. I have several major graphic novels coming out over the next year, but for now, I must concentrate on doing them, instead of traveling around talking about them.
So, see you next year!

I did not see you listed as a guest, exhibitor or in artist’s alley on the Comicon Site. So somebody just goofed.
I am not going to make to San Diego this year either – had to turn my ticket back in.
Maybe next year!
I am already making plans for next year.
I just want to stay home and get my work done over the next few months. Next week will be very disruptive and I need to concentrate. All day today, all I did was scan and upload high res images. Didn’t get any drawing or shipping done. Very vexed.
Colleen, do you know if Derek will be at Comic Con?
Gosh, it’s getting close! I have something else the weekend before, in Albuquerque. I barely get back from that and then I head down to San Diego.
I’ll be there, tabling at the Image booth (#2729, Aisle 27). Unless I forget to bring it, I’ll have my Big Book of Gone to Amerikay with me.
And: I’ll be filling in for Colleen on the panel, representing for GTA. I apologise in advance for being less interesting and attractive than Colleen.
Aw, you were entertaining in your own right at Wondercon last year. You’ll be fine!
