Okay, good move there, Seren; he managed to fix it so Liana ISN’T lying. I thought he was tipping his hand a bit far, but now I see what he was doing. Is it just me or does Niniri get annoyed when she has to think about something else besides hair, clothes, and other frilly stuff?
*grin* I like Liana’s expression. At least, how I read it. They’re assuming she’s clinging to Seren for protection/comfort. To me it seems she’s being protective, and her expression is one of anger.
@ Zowie: thanks for letting me know you picked up on that story point. The blog has been a good place to learn where I got it right and where I didn’t. I appreciate the feedback.
*goes back, rereads* okay, I’m not braining today. What is it Seren did so that Liana’s not lying about?
A few panels ago, Liana said she didn’t know anything. That was a lie.
Then Seren revealed that the rebels were really human operatives who’ve already been sent away and who are no danger to the Hierarchy.
That’s more or less true.
Regardless, Liana is no longer lying and Seren took the responsibility on himself here.
God, I love Seren more and more. Colleen, you’ve given a perfect example of how to slowly unwind a character and show their true selves.
And Emeris needs to get smacked with another planter. I have one around here somewhere I could volunteer for the purpose . . .
