Her evilness rating just went from 10 to 11. Also, it’s a logarithmic scale. D:
Alas, I poisoned this page with awkward wood balloon placements.
Amazing how the little offhand remarks reveal so much about a character.
(Rough translation: I can’t wait to see how badly, and deeply, karma bites Niniri in her dainty little tush.)
Ha ha ha, I get it (I think)! This is what people with no maternal or paternal instincs see when they see a single parent (Etan) with a really difficult teenager (Aeren) and a pre-pubescent (Seren). So what they’re seeing – and not understanding – is family dynamics. Niniri has no idea that love isn’t always selfish or hormone-driven and you can fight fiercely with somene but still love them and be willing to die to protect them because they’re family.
If she tries to heal Jason and/or if suddenly Aeren returns, karma is going to bite her dainty little tush right off and she’ll end up just as roasted as Sere.
Hold on – is EMERIS the one calling Aeren and Etan tacky? He’s the one wearing nothing but a little bag containing his genitals slung around his shoulders!
People with bad taste always think they have good taste.
Come now, It’s just a Mankini! Not bright green like Borat’s, of course. *snicker*
Zowie, I really like your observation about the Hierarchy not understanding family dynamics.
Having Emeris as a new member of the Hierarchy is a really good way to introduce us to all their machinations. Even he looks like he’s in over his head, which he somewhat is.
I couldn’t see him lasting too long if someone with similar powers but more docility showed up, given how much he irritates Niniri.
