Of COURSE Niniri would have some sort of natural affection for Eshi. Eshi is no threat to her (or to anyone else; probably why they have her around). Keris was probably not much of a threat, either, but Niniri didn’t like being second to a computer. She’d be shocked at the – ahem – makeover Bast gave him.
