My goodness. All they could write on the foreign website where I first saw this was posts about “stupid Americans”.
Well, it looks good to me. But then, I like a man with pecs.

Another one of those awesome fan films. Great stuff by Gary Shore.

nomnomnomnomnom…Golly, I love the cartoon movies.
Hottie.
My studio is a lovely, tidy place, except for the original art piles, which are a big goopy mess. After losing the same piece of art three times in the last three weeks, it’s time…I must face the Original Art Pile of Doom.
I’ve already made huge progress. The bad news is my big accomplishment is several big piles that require final sorting out of the big unsorted pile. At least I’ll have a general idea where things are until I can get each piece safely tucked into a marked envelope. A good deal of the art was sorted years ago, but the art was out of my possession for two years, and returned in a disorganized mess. I was so demoralized, I just let it sit and grow into a bigger disorganized mess. My work room was too cramped and cluttered to spread things out, but last year’s Colleen’s Closet donation drive made a huge difference. So thanks to all!
Last year, my workroom looked like this:
NNOOOOOoooooo!
Tidy shelves with art and craft supplies easy to find!
Alas, the art shelves look like this:
Almost all of those piles of art, including the art in the flat files, needs to be sorted into envelopes. Gack. The pile of papers is about five feet high. I’m afraid. All my current art and reference is at the ready. But anything more than a few years old is a disaster area.
On the one hand, it’s a pain in the butt, and I should have had a hold on this ages ago. On the other hand…this is fun. There are so many sketches and doodles and unpublished works in here!
I found all of the unpublished sketches from the Fallen Angels II miniseries from Marvel, including ALL cover drawings and prelims and character designs. I could not believe it! I also found many of my 1980′s era comics prelim drawings for Legion of Superheroes, Marvel Fanfare, Power Pack and Captain America gigs, including cover drawings. I’ll make some of these available for sale in the coming months.
Here’s a fun piece I drew back in school. The first page of a Defenders story I was going to show to Marvel Comics! Oh, boy! And not only was I going to get a job at Marvel, I was going to color it all in pencil! Too funny. Not bad for a high school kid, but I probably gave some editors up there some awesome laughs when they opened up my sample packages.
