A Distant Soil: Soulless
I’ve been serializing my A Distant Soil novella Soulless at my Patreon, and here is one of the illustrations. I’m quite happy with how it is moving along, and very happy with the response! For now, I am concentrating on A Distant Soil, finishing a long list of commissions, and taking on the occasional pinup or cover. I am also planning several new graphic novel projects one of which is in contract right now. But I have a multi-month window just for A Distant Soil work and I am keeping my head clear for it. Tying up all the loose ends of this story is very complicated!

A commission for one of my Patreon patrons. I didn’t realize how long it’s been since I updated this site. I’ve been working very hard on many projects, most notably Neil Gaiman’s CHIVALRY and haven’t been doing much else, so I’m a bit out of touch with the outside world. I can hardly believe it is November. I am so proud and grateful to have been chosen for CHIVALRY, an adaptation of one of my all-time favorite stories. The work ran over 6 months longer than my longest estimate, which pushed A DISTANT SOIL far back, and I hope to make i up to you by making these final chapters…

Chivalry
I’m very pleased to announce I’ve been chosen by Neil Gaiman to adapt his iconic fantasy tale CHIVALRY into graphic novel format. The work is painted in watercolor, with colored inks and 18K gold. I’ll also be doing the illuminated manuscript style lettering seen here and in the interiors with other lettering by Todd Klein. Look for it from Dark Horse Comics in September!

Looking mighty dandy! This was a commission for a Patreon patron. I will only be accepting commissions from patrons for the year 2021 while I concentrate on finishing the final A Distant Soil graphic novel, and my other graphic novel projects. Two in the pipeline! Also, I have a short story coming in Sensational Wonder Woman #1, which I both wrote and drew! Available as a digital comic in January, and in print in March. Have a safe and happy holiday.

A commission of Kovar for one of my Patreon supporters. Pen and ink. I’m working on two graphic novel projects, some side projects, and have A DISTANT SOIL slated to complete late next year. Financing the final storyline of A DISTANT SOIL proceeds on my Patreon. Financing for restoration of the reissues of Volumes 3 and 4 of the series is already complete and invested in a dedicated account.
