All of these photos were taken on Hallowe’en 2007. That night, I attended a signing for the recently released Nightmare Factory Volume I (which went on to win a Horror Guild Award), and some of the comic book girl posse showed up!

Abby Denson. I am so happy with the way this pic turned out.

Elim Mak and Trish Mulvihill. Cuties! Major cuties! Major TALENTED cuties! Visit their websites.

Trish feels winsome.

Elim delivers the love.

More of dazzling Galaxina!

I went to about four parties that week, and didn’t take pictures at most because they were private. I don’t think anyone will mind if I post some of these piccys, since they were taken in public.

Here’s someone who has ten times more cute reserves than anyone else on Earth: the adorable, universally beloved Amanda Conner, most attractive skunk.

People kept stopping her on the street to get a shot of her clever costume. Here she is at The Nightmare Factory signing, posing with a Jellical Cat.

Another glamour skunk shot!

And FYI, Kevin Christley, who is writing from a military address, solves the mystery of Neon Jesus:

The neon Jesus guy (Buddy Christ from the movie Dogma) in your blog post is Damien Metz from Las Vegas. He’s also a member of the 501st Legion.

THANK YOU!

BTW, did I wear a costume? No, but everyone thought I did, because I went to all of those Hallowe’en parties wearing a conservative suit. And because I was at outlandish parties wearing a conservative suit, everyone thought I was being ironic, and so they complimented me on my costume. Or as one person put it my “naughty secretary” costume.

To add to the general hilarity, some people thought I was a man in drag.

Good times.
