Valiant’s Doctor Mirage
Was very excited to have the opportunity to do a cover for Valiant Comics’ DOCTOR MIRAGE series. Here’s the information at Diamond Previews. Please ask for it at your comic retailer! I wrote about having a health downturn on my Patreon which slowed my progress on work for the last month or two, but I’ve had my medication adjusted and should be on an upswing soon. I really want to build some momentum on A DISTANT SOIL. I haven’t been able to for awhile. On the plus side, I’ve agreed to do a project I have wanted to do for over two decades, and have returned to work on FINALITY…

Shaun Cassidy Tour Poster
I’ve sneaked a few peeks already for patrons at this Shaun Cassidy tour poster, a thrill to do because I was a huge fan of Shaun when I was a girl and did “Hardy Boys” fanfic and fanart! I had Shaun’s poster on my wall, and still have his albums! And now everyone gets to see it. A successful writer and producer, his credits include “Cold Case’, “New Amsterdam, “American Gothic” (one of my all-time favorites,) and “Roar” starring Heath Ledger. I was unable to do the logo myself because I have no Adobe Illustrator skills. So I sketched up some ideas and the logo was done by Allan Harvey,…

Inexorable
A private commission for actor Nick Offerman. I’ve only done one convention appearance in the last 12 months, but I’m coming out of my shell. GALAXYCON Richmond, VA, May 31-June 2. My old buddy Keith Giffen will be in attendance. Also attending are Barry Bostwick, Micheal Dorn, John Wesley Shipp and someone I really want to meet, Paige O’Hara, the voice of Belle from Beauty and the Beast, for which I did art on the Disney movie adaptation! I really need to get that graphic novel signed by her! This will be my first Virginia-based convention appearance in nearly twenty years. CHARLOTTE HEROES CON, Charlotte NC, June 14-16. This will…

NEIL GAIMAN’S SNOW GLASS APPLES
Work on A DISTANT SOIL has been set aside while I complete Neil Gaiman’s SNOW GLASS APPLES which was just announced today at PASTE Magazine’s website. I’m working in a style I’ve adapted from long study of the work of Irish Arts and Crafts Movement illustrator and stained glass creator Harry Clarke. I’ve admired his work since discovering it as a teenager. I mistook his drawings for those of Aubrey Beardsley, whom I also admire, though Clarke is far more macabre and had a longer career. Like Beardsley, he died young. Clarke passed away at age 41 after an amazingly prolific career. I’ve referenced a few of his drawings in…
