Page 1 of A Distant Soil #11. This is the last issue that was drawn in the 1980’s, though some pages were added to the story as it progressed. This page was drawn almost seven years after the rest of the book! I began producing all-new issues in 1995. And in about 30 days, you’ll get to see those pages. Alas, my early lettering leaves a lot to be desired. Must get around to redoing it all. Have you clicked my SHOP page? Books are good for you.

Just thought I would mention that this splash page was added to the series nearly seven years after the other pages were drawn, hence the difference in the inking style. In the Please-stop-me-before-I-revise-again-department, it is only a supreme act of will that keeps me from going back and re-inking almost every page from the “Knights of the Angel” segment of the story.

This was written sometime around 1986 or so, and I wrote this scene based on what I read in an old medical book, and on the advice of a doctor. I removed the original bit showing Chris trying to keep Liana’s teeth from clanging together and biting her tongue off.
